What happens after I finish the assessment?
It depends on the state you live in. In some states a licensed physician reviews your health history and prescribes without a visit; in others, you meet your physician by video first. Either way, if treatment is appropriate they send a prescription to our partner pharmacy, which prepares and ships it to your door — and if it is not appropriate, they will tell you and explain why. If you would like a video visit even when your state does not require one, you can request it — it is included in your plan.

No. New Tides is a cash-pay service. Your monthly membership is the whole price, and nothing is billed to insurance.
What is the difference between semaglutide and tirzepatide?
Both are once-weekly injections that help regulate appetite and blood sugar. Tirzepatide acts on two gut hormone receptors while semaglutide acts on one. Your physician will help you choose based on your history, your goals, and how you respond.
Is this medication FDA-approved?
Compounded medications are reconstituted or prepared by pharmacies for an individual patient. Because there is so much variation from patient to patient, the FDA does not review each compounded prescription for safety and effectiveness. The compounding pharmacies that prepare them are overseen by their State Board of Pharmacy and the other regulations they operate under. Your physician will discuss the risks and benefits with you.
Can I pause or cancel?
Yes — you can pause or cancel at any time from your patient portal, with no cancellation fee. If you and your physician decide to stop treatment, they can talk you through how to do that safely.
What are the common side effects?
The most common are gastrointestinal — nausea, constipation, or reflux — and they often ease as your body adjusts. Serious side effects are uncommon but possible. Your physician reviews your full history first and stays available to adjust your dose.
